Obituary for Christopher Buckley Douglas
Mr. Douglas passed away peacefully at his home in Memphis July 26, 2016. Christopher Buckley Douglas was born November 13, 1961 in Memphis, TN to James Louis and Joan Murray Douglas. He lived in Memphis his entire life, graduated CBHS and attended Memphis State University. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Murray Douglas, and brothers, Art, Tommy, and Lou Douglas. Survivors include his father, James Louis Douglas; siblings Joe and his wife Ann Douglas; nephews, Caden, Grant and Charlie Douglas. Chris was so well known for his boisterous and infectious laugh! He loved people, but even more, he loved helping those in need. A devoted son, an avid golfer, a life-long fan to the Memphis State Tigers, "The King" will leave a legacy behind that is a collection of the largest and most mutually loyal and devoted friendships that is an aspiration to those he left behind. Visitation will begin at 1:30 to allow celebration and commemoration or Chris's life. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM, Saturday, July 30 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
