Carolyn L. Gillam, age 82, of Elwood, passed peacefully into her Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Community Parkview Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 17, 1933, in Elwood, to the late Forrest and Pauline (Lambertson) VanNess.
On June 26, 1953 she married the love of her life Dannie Gillam and they shared 63 years of marriage together. Carolyn enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be greatly missed by her family. She was a member of Life Church in Elwood, where she was a very active member and loved her church family.
Carolyn is survived by her loving Husband, of 63 years, Dannie Gillam, Daughter, Debra Korn, Daughter, Tina (Pablo) Silveira, Son, Douglas (Lisa) Gillam, Grandchildren, Michelle Hibst, San Juan Ramirez Jr., Curtis Reck, Brent Gillam, Connor Gillam, Becca Baldwin, Five Great Grandchildren, Sister, Pat Wadholm, Brother, Robert VanNess Sr., Brother, Eugene VanNess, and Several Nieces and Nephews.
