Helen Chase Pay, 79, died Friday, January 21, 1994 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 3, 1914 in Provo, Utah to Sisson Alma and Leah Ockey Chase. She married Leonard Othel Pay, July 1, 1940 in the Manti Temple. He died October 14, 1991.
She graduated from Juab High School and was a member of the LDS Church. She served as Junior Sunday School chorister for 14 years, taught Sunday School, and was a Relief Society chorister and visiting teacher. Recently she served in the ward library and at the Relief Society Garment Distribution Center. She performed in many choirs and choruses. She was a member of the Lucky 13 Club, the Booklore Club, and a member of the Beta Club for 25 years. She worked at Christensen's Department Store, Ralph's Market, The Toggery, and 4-D Plumbing and Building Supply. She loved spending time ourdoors with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Nan, of West Jordan; nieces, Merrie Chase, of Salt Lake; Jeanne McDonald, of Bountiful; nephews, David R. Chase, of Sandy; David L. Olpin, of Provo; Dennis Olpin, of Portland, Oregon. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Eugene, Donald W., Alma Bud Chase; sister, Florence Chase Olpin.
Funeral services are Tuesday, January 25, 1994 at Nephi 2nd Ward Chapel, 11 a.m. Friends may call Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Nephi and one hour prior to services at the church.
