Born in Chattanooga, TN, he was a son of the late C.E. and Lona Mae Cruse Mosteller.
Howard served in the United States Army during World War II in North Africa, Italy, and Germany. He was a member of Grove Road Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Howard was very proud to serve his country and his Lord. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa.
In addition to his loving wife of 70 years, he is survived by one son, Michael Howard Mosteller (Betty); one granddaughter, Kristy Welch (Don); one grandson, M. Brian Mosteller; one brother, Robert Mosteller (Lois); and two sisters, Pauline Shelton and Dorothy Jean Hahn.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Burial: Greenville Memorial Gardens.
