Graveside services for Willard C. Howard of El Reno were held Tuesday in the El Reno Cemetery with Rev. Vance Bowman officiating. Services were under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
Mr. Howard died Friday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1922, in Dill City. He served in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart among other commendations. He had been a resident of El Reno since 1970. He was a member of the Methodist church. He had served as vice post commander of American Legion Post No. 41 in Clinton and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Lee Howard of the home; a stepson, Jack Wilson of El Reno; sister, Mildred Wheeler of Elk City; five step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
