Mr. Jeffry Lynn Cecil, of Scott City, MO, passed away on Wed, March 2, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 62.
Jeff was born to parents Joseph F. Cecil, Sr and Jesse H. (Cook) Cecil on February 12, 1954 in Fremont, OH. He graduated from Ross High School in Fremont, OH. He worked for over 25 years at Martin Marietta in Woodville, OH and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local 12965 before moving away from the area. He was also a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club. He loved dogs, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and traveling around the country.
In October 1973, Jeff married Kathy Ann Lanning, and the couple had three children. He is survived by his wife; daughters: Jamie Eyre (Michael) of Shakopee, MN, Kristy Cecil of Queenstown, MD, and LeeAnn Stevens (Aaron) of Sanford, NC; two grand-daughters, Elizabeth Eyre and Annabelle Stevens; four siblings: Susan Cecil of Columbus, OH, Joseph Cecil Jr (Sandy) of Fremont, OH, Jennifer Patynko (Gary) of Hessville, OH, and Tami Mallia (Mark) of Johnstown, OH; and a great number of extended family members. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Cecil Sr; his mother, Jessie Cecil; and brother, Stephen Cecil.
