Glenn Edd Knight, 79, of Pampa, died August 2, 2016 in Amarillo.
Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2016, at Hobart Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Watson, officiating.
Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Knight was born September 2, 1936 in Reed, Oklahoma. He was reared in Reed, attending schools and graduating from Reed High School in 1954. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1956. Glenn married Mildred Mason on April 5, 1958 in Phillips. He worked for Pioneer, Energas, and Atmos Energy, retiring in 1995 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Hobart Baptist Church, and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. Glenn loved working outdoors in his yard. He was a wonderful man who had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor, and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Knight of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Orr and husband John of West Bountiful, Utah, and Pam Dalton of Pampa; a son, Carroll Knight and wife Pat of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a brother, Jimmy Knight of Mangum, Oklahoma; four granddaughters, Jessica Carter of North Salt Lake, Utah, Ashley Garner, Taylor Dalton and Tori Dalton, all of Pampa; six grandsons, Kory Harris of Abilene, Jon Langley and Jeremy Knight, both of Oklahoma City, Shawn Harris and wife Shyla of Midland, Aron Garner of Manassas, Virginia, and Russell Carter of Amarillo; twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
