Carl “Sonny” Raymond Graves Jr., 74, of Townville, passed away, Friday, July 29, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born on July 12, 1942, a son of Carl Raymond Graves Sr. and Pearl Ina Morrison Graves.

He was a 1961 graduate of Townville High School and attended the Williamsport Technical Institute of Welding.

Carl was a self-employed logging contractor. He owned and operated C.R. Graves Logging for 50 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and watched every western movie ever made.

He was a Master Mason with Masonic Lodge #473 in Cambridge Springs, and when he was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Aug. 6, at 1 p.m., with a luncheon to follow.

The Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 33353 N. Main St., Townville, has been entrusted with the care of arrangements.
