RACINE, WI/Elnora Melita Drewitz, 91, passed away Thurs., July 28, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center in Racine, Wisconsin.


Elnora was born Dec. 12, 1924 in Creighton, SD to Albert and Ludmilla Eisenbraun.

On June 15, 1946 she married Oscar Drewitz in Rapid City. They lived on the farm north of Creighton until retiring in 1980, at which time they moved to Rapid City.

Elnora is survived by her four children: Judy (Ron) Seibert of Wisconsin, John (Kathy) Drewitz of Rapid City, Rev. Glen (Elaine) Drewitz of Missouri, and Linda (David) Poteet of Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Christine Boehlke, Michelle Wo, Christopher Seibert, Sarah Bytner, Ezra Ahrendt, Cameo Melichar, Tyler Drewitz, Megan Darger, Alex Drewitz, Matthew Drewitz, Paul Drewitz, Jeremy Drewitz, Nathan Drewitz, Rebecca Drewitz, Joshua Poteet, and Micah Poteet; also by 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 5-7pm Tues., Aug. 2 at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City, and for one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Wed., Aug. 3 at Peace Lutheran Church in Rapid City, with the Rev. David Lindenberg officiating. Interment will be at Black Hills National Cemetery at 1:30pm on Wednesday.
