She passed away on July 31, 2016 in Taylorsville.
She married Aliaff Joseph Pearson, Jr., in the Manti Temple for time and all eternity. Together, they had five children: J. David Pearson (Mary Kaye), Jolene Lara (John), Brian Pearson (Calene), Leigh Pearson (Heidi), and Elaine Miller (Dave).
After the death of her husband, she was left to raise five small children from the age four to fourteen. She continued on for the next forty-five years raising her children alone. This was no easy task but she loved them very much. She has twenty grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren who love her, look up to her and will miss her.
Carol was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a various callings. She enjoyed music of all kinds. Carol wrote a road show play with her husband that they both participated in. She had a very beautiful voice and organized and participated in many musical groups. She loved to make candy, scrapbooking, ceramics, and crafts of all kinds.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Aliaff Joseph Pearson, Jr.; daughter, Jolene Lara; sister, Elaine Escoto; and parents, George Robert Gregory and Exie Cleone Rose.
The family would like to thank the loving and caring workers of the Legacy House of Taylorsville and her beautiful hospice nurse, Emily, who so lovingly cared for our mother.
Funeral services for Carol will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the West Brook Eleventh Branch Chapel, 6364 South 3200 West, Taylorsville. Friends and family may visit with the family on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
