Reba Louise Thomas of Locust, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill.

Reba was born November 15, 1923 in Anson County to the late George Durgin Preslar and Mary Jane Howard Preslar. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clonnie Wilson Thomas; daughter, Patricia Ann Caudle, brother, Lowell Preslar; and sister, Imogene P. Caudle.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland, NC 28107. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Kenny Wallace and Dr. Rev. Tommy Ross will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 320 South Central Avenue, Locust. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Terri Burleson of Charlotte, Pamela S. Thomas of Kannapolis, and Janet T. Freeman of Charlotte; sons, Clonnie W. Thomas and wife, Lanna of Locust, and Donald L. Thomas of Chadborn; brother, Bob Preslar of Norwood; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
