Effie L. Harris, age 91, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016. She was born on December 3, 1924, in Dallas, GA, to the late McKinley & Odessie Flemister. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Babiker, son, Bernard Harris, JR, brother and sister-in-law, John & Corrine Flemister, and sister, Elsie Rainey.
Mrs. Harris was a weight consultant for Weight Watchers for many years and was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church.
Survivors include husband of 69 years, Bernard Harris of Dallas, GA; children, Rosemary Clemons of Douglasville, GA; Howard Harris of Villa Rica, GA, and Lonnie Harris of Dallas, GA; brothers, Paul Flemister of Hiram, GA, Wallace Flemister of Dallas, GA, Chester Flemister of Villa Rica, GA; sisters, Esther Sims of Hiram, GA, Jacquelyn House of Dallas, GA, and Eva Flemister of Dallas; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at 11 AM, from Rocky Ford Baptist Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Rocky Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
