DALRYMPLE, Arthur Blanchard - 81, Truro, formerly of Kennetcook, passed away September 13, 2005, in Colchester Regional Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Born in Kennetcook, he was a son of the late Hiram and Ruth (Singer) Dalrymple. A veteran of the Second World War, Arthur served in the RCASC overseas. He worked for Algoma Ore in Wawa, Ont., before returning to Kennetcook to care for his parents. He enjoyed many happy years with his beloved wife, Mildred (Hynes). He is also survived by brothers, Eden, Wawa, Ont.; Edmund (Cora), Rawdon Gold Mines; Carmen, Black Rock; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Ruthie (Jim) Hammett; brothers, Walter (Ellen) White, Elbert; sister-in-law, Margaret Dalrymple; siblings, Joseph and Inez in infancy, and mother-in-law, Jessie Pike of Newfoundland.
His special talents were fishing, gardening, bowling, storytelling, cooking, and helping his many friends and neighbours.
Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 16, in St. James Presbyterian Church, Noel Road, with Rev. Jin Woo Kim officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Reception will follow in Noel Road Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Church or Cemetery Fund, or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the care of J.
