GREENSBORO Mr. Charles "C.L." Lawrence Draper, Jr., 75, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Hospice Home of High Point with his wife and family by his side.Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at George Brothers Funeral Service with Pastor Jack Morris officiating being assisted by Pastor Tommy Hussey. Burial will follow the service at Guilford Memorial Park.Mr. Draper was preceded in death by his parents, Charles, Sr. and Grace Draper; and brother, Jimmy Draper.C.L. was a very caring and unselfish person. He was always considerate of others and generous to everyone. He tried to be Christ like in all that he did. He enjoyed spending his time around guns, trains, and remote-control planes; and loved to hunt, fish, and play golf. He was a barber for over thirty years and was a member and former deacon, Sunday school superintendent, and teller at Pinecroft Baptist Church; as well as a member of Masonic Greensboro Lodge #76. C.L. was also a graduate of Servant Bible Institute of Pinecroft Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC.He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Connie Draper, of the home; son, Ricky Draper (Chris), of Greensboro; son Jerry Draper, of Greensboro; grandchildren, Stephanie Long (Sopheak), Casey Minor (Ashley), Amanda Minor, and Landon Draper; great-grandchildren, Saley Long, Jenna Minor, and Lilly Minor; brother, Bill Thacker (Liz); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family members whom he loved.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at George Brothers Funeral Service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home of High Point, 1803 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262 or to Pinecroft Baptist Church, 2022 W.
