Ruby Springsteen of Royal Oaks Manor, Apt. 670 D Grand Prairie, died Friday at 10 p.m. in a Grand Prairie hospital.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Sorrells-Peters Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Beall officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 31, 1915 in Lone Oak to W.T. and Sally Long Haney. She was married to Harry E. Springsteen Jr. Sept. 29, 1936 in Greenville. Mrs. Springsteen was a housewife and a Baptist.

Surviving are sisters, Ada Burnett of Grand Prairie, Rena Shaw of Grand Prairie and Geannie Collins of Farmers Branch; granddaughter, Vickie Atwell of Irving; great-granddaughters, Erika and Adrienne; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963, daughter, Jeannie, in 1968 and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Al Legalley, Ronnie Brown, Mike Haney, Mike Owens, Frank Street and Wayne Horton.

Sorrells-Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
