Claudia M. Becker Cruse Davis, 79, of April Sound, Montgomery, Texas died July 10, 2014. She entered into heaven to meet her beloved husband Tom and sons Kirby and Kent. She was a resident of April Sound for the past 25 years.
Claudia was born in Lakota, ND on July 19, 1934 to Wilber and Marie Becker. In 1952 she graduated from high school in Crary, ND. She married Neal Cruse in 1954 at Fort Riley, KS. After completing military service, Claudia and Neil lived in Devils Lake, ND. In 1959, they moved to Houston, TX. They were blessed with two children, Kirby and Kent. Claudia and Neil divorced in 1974. Claudia loved the outdoors and opportunity to spend time with her sister June and her husband Bob at their fishing lodge in Alaska.
Claudia married Thomas (Tom) Davis in 1979. They initially made their home in Bismarck, ND, but due to medical complications Tom retired in 1982 and they moved to Texas where they purchased their house on Lake Conroe. Claudia enjoyed the beautiful views, wonderful neighbors and great fishing on the lake. Lake Conroe became a great vacation and reunion location for the Davis family. Claudia will be remembered for her wittiness, culinary skills (especially chocolate chip cookies), card games and fishing with grandchildren, and movies. Tom died in 2008.
Claudia was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, twin brother Clifford, brother Gerald, sister Lois Bublitz and sons Kirby and Kent. She leaves behind to cherish our memories her sister June Green (Soldotna, AK), brother-in-law Bob Green (Soldotna, AK), sister-in-law Mary Becker (Devils Lake, ND), grandson Jacob Cruse (Hallettsville, TX), numerous nieces and nephews, five step sons Thomas D. (Diane) of Bismarck, ND; John S. (Laurie) of LaVista, NE; William R. (Debbie) of Tucson, AZ; Richard C (Diane) of Montgomery, TX; Daniel of El Toro, CA; one step-daughter Margaret Gaarder of Minot, ND; and their 11 children and 14 grandchildren.
