Dennis was born on November 15, 1949, in Ft. Collins, Colorado to Vernon and Evelyn (Harris) Barry. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Riley County in Kansas. There he grew up fishing and enjoying nature. After high school, as a young man he worked for several companies including Steel and Pipe Supply, Jack Poole, Koch, and then went on to retire from trucking with Blenn Trucking Company.



He was an avid fisher and hunter. If it had water, he would fish it. He enjoyed using his C.B. radio, and his handle was "Catfish".



In April of 1971, he married Donna McGrath. They later separated 1999. He since then resided in Manhattan, Kansas.

Dennis is survived by his loving family: Wife, Donna; his Two Daughters, Angela Richmond of Topeka, KS, and Amy Barry of Manhattan, KS; Son, Brian A. Barry of Wamego, KS; Brother, Martin Barry of Manhattan, KS; Sister, Louann and husband Dean Stewart of Muscatine, IA; and 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Evelyn Daniels and Father, Vernon Barry.
