Doris graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1946 where she had been a cheerleader. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Doris enjoyed dancing, where she met many good friends. She had been a member of a card club since after high school where "the girls" met once a month and became dear friends. Doris was a member of St. Paul's Third Lutheran Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, Brownie troop leader and had been a past president of Lutheran Church Women.
Surviving is a son, Edward C. "Chuck" Adams and his wife Stephanie, of Williams Township; a son-in-law, Neil Adams-Conroy, of Martins Creek; four grandchildren, Emily D'Huyvetters and her husband Ryan, Andrew Adams and his wife Amanda, Alex Adams and his wife Tanya, and Tamra Adams-Conroy; and eight great-grandchildren, Faith, Evan, Kylie, Aliah, Brandi, Madilyn, Dylan and James. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Jayne Conroy-Adams; a grandson, Michael Adams-Conroy and a brother, Joseph M. Conroy.
Services will be held 10am Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Friday 9-10am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
