North Easton- Carl R. Brewer, age 86, formerly of Dennis died peacefully, surrounded by his family at The Residence at Five Corners in North Easton on July 29, 2016. He was the son of the late Karl A. & Dorothy Brewer of Lexington, Kentucky.

Carl was born on June 21, 1930 in Larchmont, NY. He attended Rye Country Day High School, Rye, NY and graduated from Kentucky Military School in 1948. He also attended John Hopkins University until 1950 after which he entered the U.S. Marine Corp and served during the Korean War. He and his wife Shirley A. Ehrman were married on June 1, 1957. After they were married they lived in Old Greenwich, CT, before moving to Dennis, MA in 1995. Carl worked as a salesman for the Foxboro Company for over 25 years before he retired in 1985. For a time after his retirement he did some sales consulting. Carl was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Greenwich Athletic Association. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, he would rarely miss watching their games. He also coached both football and baseball for many years and in 1995 he was honored by the Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association and presented with the Coach's Lifetime Achievement Award. Carl also enjoyed gardening, reading, he recently learned to play cribbage and he maintained many loyal friendships throughout his lifetime.

Beloved husband of Shirley A. (Ehrman) Brewer of North Easton, MA. Devoted father of Babette Thompson and Kyle Brewer of Foxborough. Loving grandfather of Mitchell and Matthew Thompson of Foxborough.

Arrangements are being handled by the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. Funeral Services will be private he will be laid to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne MA
