Charmin Irene Coleman was born August 30, 1932. If anyone has ever had a conversation with her she always wanted to share her testimony of being found along highway 77 in a field in Logan County which led her to being adopted by Milton and Mable Edwards. She received her education through the Guthrie Public Schools. She attended Favor High School and graduated with the Class of 1950.
She started her Christian experience at the age of 10 years old and lived an active life doing work in ministry leading countless souls to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior. She had a special love to witness to children. In the summertime she would allow her home to be used for Child Evangelism. She was known for playing the piano and also enjoyed giving piano lessons to children out of her home. Children held a special place in her heart; ANY opportunity given to share the Gospel she took advantage of it with lots of love and hugs.
She always let her light shine and had a beautiful smile which captured the eyes of her sweetheart. Love at first sight lea to her meeting her husband Reverend Harold Coleman of 65 years. She had a little talk with Jesus and shared with Harold her desire to have 12 children. After taking some time to think this request through her love story began; Harold and Irene married and were blessed with not 12 but 13 children. She was so thankful for all of her 13 children which in her words she called them "the baker's dozen", 33 grandchildren (including 3 grandchildren on the way), and 19 great grandchildren.
Charmin will forever be remembered for expressing ALL of the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. She was truly one of God's biggest fans. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Proverbs 31:2. In loving memory of Charmin and in her precious words to everyone, "God Bless You Some More."
She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Reverend Harold Coleman
