Ila Mae Smith, age 82, of Northport, died August 1, 2016, at home. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Mother was a hardworking woman who retired from Bryce Hospital after 30 years. She had one child Theresa Johnson and two grandchildren, Ashlie Boothe and Trace Johnson who were her whole world. She was often called Granny Dr. by Ashlie anytime she needed her. Trace became her knight in shining armor doing yard work for her when he got older. She loved them till the end still taking care of them to the end.
