Linda O. Gonzalez, 61, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence in Edinburg.

Linda was born in Edinburg and lived there all of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Otila Gonzalez.

Linda is survived by five sisters, Maria Guadalupe Salinas, Elvira (+Jose) Villarreal, Angelica (+Joe) Garza, Maria Isabel (Pedro Alonzo) Perales, Dolores Daniel; three brothers, Daniel (Francis) Cassanova, David Baldemar (Rosalinda) Gonzalez, Jr., Dario Vicente (Francis) Gonzalez.

Linda's children were her numerous nieces and nephews. She celebrated every one of their births. She always had her loving arms ready to receive anyone who visited her. Linda was the life of the party; gatherings without her will never be the same again. Her colorful language and laughter was contagious and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Doc's Home Health and Dr. Marylin Asistores Quilon, for the great care they took of Linda.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
