Catherine Louise Myers, 96, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, in Dujarie House at Holy Cross Village.
Catherine was born June 5, 1920 in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Frick) Myers. Catherine lived most of her life in Mishawaka and in later years resided at Holy Cross Village.
Catherine was employed from 1939 to 1980 at Schumacher Construction, Inc. in Mishawaka. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and their Rosary Society. Catherine also belonged to Catholic Women’s Order of Foresters.
Catherine was preceded in death by four sisters, Lena Myers, Martha Myers, Grace Eiler and Ruth Parnell; two brothers, George and Lawrence Myers; and an infant brother, Joseph Myers.
Catherine is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am EDT (August 4) in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Christopher Lapp officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 – 7 pm EDT (August 3) in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 pm.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
