Sharron Verran Butler, 53, Johnson City passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 in the Franklin-Woods Hospital after an extended battle with cancer. She was born May 13, 1963 in Johnson City. She was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. Sharron was a beautician for thirty years having operated the New Looks Hair Design in Pinecrest.. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, Erwin. Sharron was preceded in death by her mother: Marilyn White Verran.
Survivors include her husband: Kenny Butler. A daughter: Brandi Worley and husband Ron, Unicoi. A son: Landon South, Johnson City. Three Grandchildren: Noah, Reagan and Gabe Worley. Her father & Step-Mother: Leon & Jan Verran, Johnson City. Her mother-in-law: Shirley Butler, Johnson City. Her sisters: Stacy Verran, Johnson City, Micki Whitlock, Unicoi and Voni Robinson, Asheville, North Carolina. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Roselawn Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Larry Pate. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday will be: Cody Whitlock, Dillon Brown, Garrett Brown, Austin Brown, Hunter Townsend, Cody Caudle, Landon South and Noah Worley. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to her care giver Shirley Butler and the nursing staff 2nd floor, Franklin-woods Community Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
