MRS. LIZZIE ANNIE SHADLE
Mrs. Lizzie Annie Shadle, 72, a former resident of Lykens, residing for the past seven years in Philadelphia, died at her home on Tuesday, January 20th, at 2:25 p. following a three years' illness of complication of diseases.
Mrs. Shadle, nee Zerbe, was born in Berrysburg, June 6th, 1875. She was united in marriage to Mr. Lewis W. Shadle who preceded her in death thirty years ago, having been killed in a mine accident at Short Mountain Colliery. Four daughters, Ethel, Mrs. Forest Evans: Mary, Mrs. Charles Koon, Lykens; Blanche. Mrs. G. W. Michaels, Sunbury: Mas Kathryn Shadle, Philadelphia: two sons, Lewis. Likens, R. D.; W. Ray, Philadelphia: sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24fh, at 2 p.m. from the Reiff & Helt funeral home, Main street, Lykens, with Rev. Samuel Sterner, pastor of the United Brethren Church, Lykens, officiating. Burial will be made in the P. O. S. of A. Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening between 7 and 9 o'clock.
