Dorothy Gregory Hodges, 96, of McAdoo, Texas, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in Olton, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022, at McAdoo Cemetery, with Mr. Matt Moore officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Dorothy was born July 6, 1925, in Haskell, Texas, to Roy and Ella (Arend) Faubus. In 1941, Dorothy married Claud Gregory, Sr. and they were married for over 42 years before his passing in 1983. She married Jack Hodges in 1984 and they were married over 27 years before his passing in 2011. She moved to Olton in 2011 from Brownfield and was a Primitive Baptist. Dorothy enjoyed being a farmer's wife and she was a very hard worker. A talented seamstress and cook, Dorothy could make the best chocolate pies. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed a competitive game and loved working crossword puzzles. Considered the world's greatest grandmother, Dorothy loved her family greatly and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Claud Gregory, Sr. and Jack Hodges, a daughter, Joann Taylor, son-in-law, James Taylor, three brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include her son, Claud Gregory, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Lazbuddie, five grandchildren: Todd Gregory and his wife Roxanne, Kim Carson and her husband Kody, Dee Dee Stockton and her husband John, Paul Taylor and his wife Amber, and Crysti Hoots and her husband Adam, 14 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Runningwater Draw Care Center PO Box 409 Olton, Texas 79064 or the Muscular Dystrophy Association
