Dorothy “Dot” Hartsell 82 of Greeneville passed away Sunday July 31, 2016 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by: 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Donna and Danny Britt, Lisa and Lee Morrow; one son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Donna Hartsell; grandchildren: Kelly Merkel, Natalie Carter, Bart Hartsell, Joe Pat Hartsell, Todd Hartsell, Nathan Morrow, Lindsey Pratt, Lydia Morrow, and Katie Hartsell; great grandchildren: Justin, Haley and Christian Merkel, Casey Hartsell, Sophie, Max, and Ben Carter, Alexis Daniels; 2 brothers and sisters--in-law: Buddy and Nancy Wilson, Johnny and Louise Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her loving husband of 62 years: Jim Hartsell; son: Rod Hartsell; parents: Roger and Velva Wilson.
She was a lifelong member of Towering Oaks Baptist Church. As long as her health permitted, she fixed meals for the Wednesday night service at Towering Oaks Baptist Church.
She was a loving, soft spoken person who was dedicated to her family, her faith, and her friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-6 & 7-9 PM at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at Towering Oaks Baptist Church. Her body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The Dr. Tommy Pierce and Rev. Dennis Shumate will officiate. Interment will be held in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
