Patricia Atkin Massey, age 70, passed away July 24, 2016. A memorial service will be held 1 PM, August 13, 2016 at Flint Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Mt. Morris, MI. Pastor Ellsworth Jackson officiating.
Patricia was born October 31, 1945, the daughter of George Atkin Sr. and Catherine Leighton. She graduated from Clio High School in 1963 and was employed as a Vision Therapist in Flint and Saginaw.
Patty was an excellent softball player, playing competitively in both Tennessee and Michigan. She enjoyed golf and bowling. Patty also umpired and refereed softball games in Genesee County.
She is survived by three step-children, Corey Ireland, Shannon (Jim) Speckman and Kayla (Les) Baumgart, sisters Joanne Wright, Ludington, MI, Judy (David) Chappell, Kay (Jack) Muehlfeld, Gayle (Jim) Canterbury, and Debbie (Jerry) Skeel, all of Clio and brothers George (Arleen) Atkin, Peoria, AZ and Rick (Jean) Atkin, Mt. Pleasant, MI, seventeen nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews, aunt Avis Murphy.
Patty was preceded in death by her sister Dayle Atkin Godmer and her parents.
