William “Red” Ammons, age 97 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Friday, July 29, 2016 in a local hospital. Mr. Ammons was born on June 4, 1919 in Willisville, Arkansas to Luther and Allie Rogers Ammons. He was a retired house mover and of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son; William Herschel Ammons, a sister; Annie Mae Green and a grandson; William Douglas Ammons.

Survivors include his wife, son, daughter, a brother, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Visitation, 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home 1196 Hwy 371 West Prescott, Arkansas.

Funeral service, 2:00pm, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery on a future date.
