Scott was born to Wayne & Ruth Townsend in Deer Lodge, Montana. As a young adult Scott entered the United States Army. He served for a period of 6 years and was given an honorable discharge.
He married Rhonda Carlson - Jarvis on May 8, 1981 and they spent 35 wonderful years together. They have 3 sons - Adrian, Tony and Michael. Scott worked as a welder over the years while they raised their sons. About 15 years ago Scott & Rhonda invited Teresa Cortez to come and live with them as part of their family. He loved to fish and hunt with his sons or any one he could get to go with him. He adored his children and grandchildren. He was always there to help anyone in need.
He had several favorite pastimes; four-wheeling, horseback riding and welding. He worked for his father in law who taught him how to weld. You could find him quite often in the shop with Vern creating some wonderful pieces of iron work.
Scott worked his last years as assistant manager of the Town Pump in Deer Lodge, Montana. In the past few years he became ill and had to quite working.
Scottwas preceded in death by his parents, his son Tony and his daughter Melissa. His grandson Issac and granddaughter Jamie. His sisters - Nicki, Robin, Joan and Janice.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda, his sons Adrian and Michael. He is also survived by children he considered his children, although not his biological children; Willie, Betty, Christian and Ruby Jarvis and Denisha Townsend. He also is survived by his brother Mark Townsend and sister Phyllis McCullar and his many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Scott enjoyed life, loved everyone and will be missed by all.
*****Note - Even though Melissa, Adrian and Tony are not his biological children he raised them and loved them as though they were. He referred to them as his sons and they called him Dad.
