Rick K. Martin, age 69 of Benton, KY, died at 7:17 am Friday, July 29, 2016 at the V.A. Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was preceded in death by one sister Victoria M. Hayes, one half brother Ralph Martin and one grandson Isaac Thweatt. His parents were Howard Raymond and Margaret Bentz Martin. Survivors include his wife of 29 years Paula Kay Beck Martin of Benton, five sons Kenny Martin and wife Leann of Morganfield, KY, Ricky Martin and wife Ashley of Savannah, GA, Jacob Martin of Murray, KY, Patrick Martin of Murray, KY, Joey Martin of Murray, KY, one daughter Aliviana Thweatt and husband Jacob of Benton, KY, five grandchildren Atticus Martin of Morganfield, KY, Jacob Thweatt Jr of Benton, Isaiah Thweatt of Benton, Skie Thweatt of Benton and Addyson Thweatt of Benton. Also surviving is one brother Dallas Martin and wife Mary of Madison, IN and a brother in law Jerald Hayes of Jeffersonville, IN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Elizabeth Walker officiating followed by military rites as the concluding service also at Dunn's. Friends may call after 2:00 pm Sunday at Dunn's.
