Frank Baker was born in Giles County, TN to William Baker and Martha Mildred Trent. Records show that his father died when Frank was 4 years old, then his mother died when he was 12 years old. It seems he must have remained in the family home with older half brother D. R. Baker and his family at Marcela Falls. Joining other siblings years later in Newton County, AR, he met and married Arkansas Powers. They had two children and then moved to Texas, but Frank lived only a few years afterward, leaving Arkansas a widow with two young daughters. She married again that same year.
