Louis A. Sims age 80, passed away on Wednesday morning July 27, 2016, in Tucumcari NM.
Louis was born December 24, 1935, in Teague TX to R. K. and Ruth Sims. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the B.P. O. Elks Lodge 1172 and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He celebrated 62 years of marriage to his wife Marie on July 3, 2016.
Surviving him is his wife of 62 years, Marie of the home; his children, Dorothy Best & Alan of Raton NM, Virginia Gleason & Mark of Rio Ranch NM, Laurel Sims & fiance Andrew, and Will Sims & Debbie of Clovis, NM; siblings Sam Sims & Gloria of Pueblo CO, Richard Sims & Kay of Arlington, TX, Gary Sims & Faye of Teague, TX, and Ruthann Moore of Crowley TX; along with numerous grand children.
Services Celebrating his life will be Monday morning August 1, 2016, in the First Presbyterian Church beginning at 10:30 AM with burial following in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari New Mexico.
