Mr. Lindsay Marsh of Shaunavon , Saskatchewan , passed away peacefully at the Shaunavon Hospital on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the age of 77. He was born October 7, 1928, at Swift Current, Saskatchewan , and was raised on the family farm at Duncairn , Saskatchewan . He attended school there until 1939 when they moved to Nova Scotia , his father stayed behind to look after the farm. Lindsay finished his schooling and then returned to the farm. He later drove for STC bus lines and various other trucking companies.
He married Eileen Gryde on April 11, 1980. They resided in Kamloops where he drove truck until they moved to Lake Side Resort on Shuswap Lake , where they enjoyed boating with friends and family and making his yard and the park beautiful. They retired and moved back to Shaunavon in 1994. He loved working in his yard and manicuring his lawn.
He was predeceased by his wife Eileen, his parents, Bertha and William Marsh, and his brother Barrie.
He is survived by his 3 daughters, Linda Sim (Ben) of Calgary and granddaughters Danielle and Ashley; Sandra Burgess (Bill) of High River, Alberta, and grandsons Jeff and Chad; Loree and Wade Vanover of Eckville, Alberta, and grandchildren Dusty, Jacob, and Kessia; and his son Troy Marsh; three stepsons, Chris Gryde (Trina) of Climax and granddaughters Mandi Campbell (Garrett) of Redcliff and Taylor at home; Greg Gryde (Shirley) of Climax and grandsons Wayne Gryde (Nicole) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Kirk Gryde (Lyndi) of Frontier, Saskatchewan; and Perry Gryde (Carrie) and grandchildren Faith and Joran of Frontier, Saskatchewan; his brother Darrold Marsh (Thelma) of Swift Current, and sister-in-law Dorothy Marsh of Calgary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
