Miss Martha P. Howard died at 4:40 am Wednesday at Coulee Ranch, Craig, MT, after several months' illness. She was born near Cambridge Springs, Crawford County, daughter of Ira E. and Cordelia Ames Howard.

As a young woman, she came to Franklin with her family, and taught school for a time in the Union building.
