Sarah L. (Lintz) Hopkins, 50, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on July 26, 2016. She was joyously welcomed into eternal life by her Savior, Jesus Christ. Sarah was born in Lakewood, California, on March 23, 1966, the daughter of Margaret E. and Kenneth J. Lintz.

Sarah moved with her family to Lincoln in 1971. She was a 1984 graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School and a graduate of UNL.

Sarah married Darrel R. Hopkins on October 7, 1995, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lincoln. During their 20 years of blissful marriage, three children were born; Alexandra, Nathaniel, and Hannah. Sarah loved her family fiercely and dedicated her life to their care and well-being.

Sarah's vocations included wife, mother, homeschool teacher, Sunday school teacher, and VBS teacher. She was involved in Redeemer's Bible Study classes, Chancel Guild, Board for Human Care, and Moms Encouraging Moms; Heartland Homeschool and Down Syndrome Association for Families. Some of her favorite hobbies included hiking, gardening, bird feeding, reading, and family vacations.

Survived by: her husband and three children; father and step-mother Ken and Suzanne Lintz; brother Doug (Annette) Lintz and children Andrik and Laiken; brother Mike (Brandi) Lintz and children Scarlett and Michael; Aunt Sarah (Houston) Doan, Aunt JoAnne Wilhelm, Aunt Mary (Larry) Clark, Uncle Larry Taylor; and many other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by: mother, Margaret (Taylor) Lintz, grandparents, Ruth and Wilber Lintz and Ross and S. Jeanette Taylor, mother and father-in-law Dorothy and Carrol Hopkins, Uncle Robert Lintz.

Services on Saturday, July 30, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial at Lincoln Memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Redeemer Lutheran (Good Samaritan Fund) or Lincoln Pregnancy Center.
