Son of Conrad Keyser. Married to Margaret Cover aka Mary or Polly. Second wife was Susanna Hauger Lenhart. 11 children by Margaret were Christiana, Catherine, John, Joseph, Abraham, Jacob, Mary Ann, Michael, Daniel Lewis, Alexander, Harriet Matilda. Died near Stahlstown, because his daughter Christiana Bowman lived there, and it was winter so they couldn't get him back to Somerset area. A 1901 letter from daughter Catherine states that father is buried where Christiana is buried. Christiana's obit states she is buried in Pleasant grove Cemetery. His will was filed in Westmoreland County on 30 March 1867.
