John G. Tipton, 78, Erwin, died Saturday, July 1, 1989 in Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
He was a native of Washington County and a son of the late Bill and Alice Hampton Tipton and was a retired miner. He attended Mt. O'Dale Freewill Baptist Church.
