Our precious son, husband, father, gramps, brother, uncle and friend, Ronald Lorenzo Leavitt returned home unexpectedly on April 22, 2000 of a massive heart attack.

Ron was born Aug. 24, 1934 to Crayton L. and Elva D. Leavitt in St. George, Utah. He was raised in Santa Clara, Utah. He married his Toquerville sweetheart, Patsy Bringhurst, in the St. George Temple on July 28, 1956. He graduated from Dixie High and received his Assoc-iate Degree from Dixie College. He received his Bachelor's Degree in banking and finance from the University of Utah.Ron served in the armed forces in France for two years. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various capacities. Ron was dedicated to his work and loved his associates at Interwest Construction Co. We celebrated his retirement of 36 years on Tuesday, April 18, 2000.

Ron was a lover of life and a master of many trades. He grew up ranching with his father and brothers. He was an accomplished hunter and fisherman spending many cherished hours with his son. He spent a great deal of time boating on Lake Powell with his family and friends. He loved golfing early Saturday mornings with his golf buddies. His latest passion has been restoring his childhood home in Santa Clara, Utah with his family to leave as a legacy for his children and grandchildren. Ron was a modest man and a gentle giant. He served many under the blanket of anonymity. He was loved by everyone who knew him.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 46 years; four children, Leslie (Scott) Earl, Laurie (Doug) Lesher, Lisa (Dave) Robbins and Lance Ronald Leavitt of Salt Lake.
