LEE - George S. Gordon, Jr., 47, died at his home tonight after a lingering illness. He had been a resident of this town for the past 18 years. For 16 years he was connected with the Smith Paper Company and the Lee Savings Bank for the past two years. He was chairman of the School Committee. Besides his widow, he leaves one son, George 3rd, and one daughter, Nancy.
The funeral of George S. Gordon Jr., was held this afternoon at the First Congregational Church. The officiating clergymen were the Rev. James G. Brown, pastor of the church and the Rev. Edward M. Condit, former pastor. The bearers were Norval H. Busey Jr., Arthur L. rogers, Oscar D. Street, John M. Deeley, Donald S. Rogers and Frank Bond. Burial took place in Fairmount Cemetery.
