Susan Umlor was born on November 18, 1930 in East Jordan. She was the youngest of nine children including identical twin Mary. Susan married Donald Ager on September 24, 1949 in East Jordan. They moved to Ossineke in 1960. She was an active member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary J. Eaton and son, Dan Ager, both of Ossineke; daughter-in-law, Dawn Ager of Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Tim (Sheila) Eaton, Mike Eaton, Christy (Scott) Barbeau, all of Ossineke, Brent Ager of Petoskey, Tonia (Matt) Rankin, Eric Ager, both of South Carolina, Ryan (Whitney) Ager of Traverse City; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; twin sister, Mary Gothro; sister-in-law, Betty Skrocki.
Mrs. Ager was preceded in death by her husband, Don Ager in December 1990; daughter, Patricia Ager in 1966; son, Bruce Ager in December 2000; and son-in-law, John Eaton in April 2009.
Mrs. Ager is at the Bannan Funeral Home where visitation will take place on Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bob Bissot officiating.
