Beverly Bordano-McClendon, 74, of Hubbard, passed away the evening of Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Providence Hospital in Waco, with her loving family at her side. Funeral will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 29, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. Viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Friday prior to the mass.

She was born March 6, 1942 to the late Stephen and Victoria Bakosh. Beverly grew up in New Jersey. She graduated from local schools and moved on. Her travels took her to Florida, Texas, and California. She returned to the cattle farm that she loved in Dawson, TX.

"Aunt Bev" will be missed by all who knew her in her forever "blue jeans", white T-shirt, cap and sunglasses outfit. A farm girl for sure. There was nothing that Bev would not try to master. Before settling in the raising of cattle, she owned Bordano Realty in Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, California, and worked for NASA in Houston on the Lunar Landing Program.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Dayle W. McClendon; and the children whom she and Dayle raised, Elli Gordon and her husband, Michael and Roger Castro, both of California; and her favorite baby, Parker Gordon. She is also survived by her sisters, Victoria Robinson, Katherine Peer of New Jersey; and her sister-in-law, Emma Bianchi. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends whom she called family. Also mourning her loss is her constant canine companion, Belle.

In lieu of flowers, if you desire, please make a donation to St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco or an animal rescue of your choice.
