Richard E. Bradshaw, age 88, of Frankford died Monday, July 25, 2016 at home. He was born in Washington, DC and the son of the late Thomas D. and Clara R. (Wunder) Bradshaw.
He retired after 35 years with the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. After retirement he worked for Zonko Builders and Treasure Beach Campground. He was a member of the Ocean City Elks Lodge #2645 and a US Navy veteran.
He is survived by a daughter, Janice L. Bausch and husband John of Selbyville; a son, Gary R. Bradshaw and wife Debbie of Leesburg, VA; a sister, Frances Scott of Charlestown, WV; three grandchildren, Melissa Hitchens (Scott), Laura Balback (Jay) and Kimberly Makowski (Jesse); four great grandchildren, Donovan and Olivia Balback and Keller and Madden Makowski.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cornelia Donaldson Bradshaw in 2009.
A memorial service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 29 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with Pastor Bruce Rogers officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
