Owned and operated Mitchell's Drug Store in Roblin. I remember him pouring Nitro Glycerine from a vessel balanced on his shoulder into a bottle without a funnel. Graduated in pharmacy in 1907.
He was an elder of Knox United Church and secretary-treasurer for more than forty years. He was District Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge, life member of the I.O.O. F. and of the Liberal Association of Manitoba, president of the Red Cross, represented the Children's Aid Society of Manitoba and chairman of the hospital board. I.L. was mayor of Roblin for 18 years.
