Mr. Samuel Eugene (Gene) Collins, 84, of Ringgold, Ga., was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12th, at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Pancreatic cancer.

Gene was born in Tunnel Hill, Georgia on May 13, 1932 to the late Samuel Lafayette and Sally Clemons Collins. He worked for Chattanooga Boiler and Tank Local 454 for 40 years and also served in the Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Young Collins; Son, Timothy Collins; Brother, Barney Collins; Sisters, Edith Horne, Betty Thomason, Gladys Hooper and Dorothy Summner.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 in Chattanooga National Cemetery. .
