Kevin R. Knight, 59 of Chapman died Monday, July 25, 2016.

Celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Father Sidney B. Bruggeman will officiate.

Burial of ashes will be at a later date in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.

Military honors will be rendered at the funeral home by the Central City American Legion Color Guard and the U.S. Navy.

Kevin was born September 8, 1956 at Grand Island the son of William and Dorothy (Hughes) Knight.

Survivors of the immediate family include his daughters, Nicole Knight of Omaha, Geri (Brandon) Knight-Iske of Millersville, Maryland and Samantha Knight of Omaha; grandchildren, Jensen Holmes and Sydney Iske; his mother, Dorothy Knight of Chapman, sisters, Joan (Michael) Ford of Denver, Judy Knight of Denver, Karen (Lonny) Kutschkau of Central City and Kathy Knight of Denver and brothers, Kirby Knight of Grand Island and Roger Knight of Central City.

He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Kevin was raised in Chapman and graduated from Grand Island Northwest High School class of 1974.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1980-1985.

On July 23, 1981 he was united in marriage to Kim Plebanek.

Kevin worked for Knight Brothers Construction, the family business.

At the time of his passing he was attending Central Community College.

He was an outdoorsman, loving hunting, fishing and scuba diving.

He was a member of the Central City American Legion Color Guard.
