Gilbert E. Munoz of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday July 22, 2016 at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital and is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gilbert was the fourth child of thirteen born to Florentino M. and Carmen K. Munoz who both preceded him. He is now reunited with them and his brothers and sisters: Richard K. Munoz, Ralph Munoz, Lydia Reynosa, Deborah Sliskey and Lisa Munoz. Gilbert was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1967; and proudly served our country in the U S Navy aboard the USS Hancock during the Vietnam era.
