A former Easton resident, Mrs. Norma Wahaus Lester, of 1811 Price Way, San Leandro, Calif., was fatally injured in an auto accident Friday morning while on her way to work.
Mrs. Lester was riding in a car with a neighbor woman when it struck a large truck. Mrs. Lester was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital. Her companion is in critical condition but is expected to live.
Funeral services will be tomorrow in San Leandro.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Lester, and two children, Pamela and Danny, of the home.
She was born and reared in Eston, the daughter of Mrs. Faye Wahaus, now living at 380254 Kimbro Street, Fremont, Calif., and the late Herbert Wahaus. She was a niece of Mrs. Tom Pennington, Route 1; Mrs. Almon Cleavinger, and the late James Gwartney, both of Easton; and Truman Gwartney, Leavenworth.
Truman Gwartney, and his son, Delbert, left Friday for San Leandro to be with the family and attend the funeral services.
