Mrs. Sara B. Herndon of Conyers, GA passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Herndon and her daughter, Suzanne Herndon. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sara H. Kee; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a dear friend, Jim Walls. Mrs. Herndon was born in Hancock County, GA and retired after 42 years of service with Southern Bell. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Scot Ward Funeral Services – Harry White Chapel with Rev. David C. Collins and Rev. Jesse Walter officiating; interment will follow at Covington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service from 12 noon to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Martha Brown United Methodist Church, 468 Moreland Ave. SE, Atlanta, GA 30316.
