Ms. Carpenter, daughter of W. E. and Anna Carpenter, was born April 26, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio.
She had been a waitress and enjoyed floating and camping on Current River.
Surviving are her fiance, Robert Smith of Sikeston; 1 sister, Rhonda; and 1 brother, Dennis Carpenter of Doniphan.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning, July 30, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home and the funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Bellview. Cemetery.
